Tree Removal Permits
Local government areas each have their own regulations regarding tree removal. Here at JK Cooper, we’ve got experience in the regulations of Cessnock, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Port Stephens, Great Lakes, Central Coast, Singleton and other Upper Hunter Local Government Areas (LGAs). When disaster strikes in these LGAs we are often on hand to assist with the cleanup and removal of fallen trees which has given us wide ranging experience in suburbs across the region. We will put this expertise into crafting a plan for your specific tree removal project.
Tree removal is subject to safety and environmental considerations which is why we fully comply with ISO Standards such as the “Pruning of Amenity Trees, saiglobal.com/pdftemp/previews/osh/as/as4000/4300/4373-2007.pdf
This Standard specifies methods for pruning of trees and gives guidance on correct and uniform practices. It is intended for use on amenity trees, including palms, and includes removal of deadwood, crown lifting, formative pruning, reduction pruning (including line clearance), selective pruning, crown thinning and remedial or restorative pruning. It does not include practices related to timber, foliage, fruit and flower production, chemical pruning nor to sculptural forms of pruning such as topiary, espalier, hedging and pleaching.
Did you know that, if you were to remove a tree without consent from the government, local or appropriate authorities, you could be subject to heft fines that can go all the way up to $1,000,000?
Nobody wants to deal with such fines and we’d hate to see that happen to you. Allow us, the tree experts at JK Cooper, to assist you with your tree removal and help you obtain the necessary permits that will allow you to do so.
Do you have a tree on your property that needs moving or removing? Applying for a tree removal permit is no joke or easy task. It’s a process that requires knowledge of the appropriate legalities and legal terms involved.
